What can I expect from a session?
I like to get to know you a bit prior to our session, so I can create an experience you will absolutely LOVE. I want you to feel a sensation of familiarity, of comfort, so you can relax and let me capture YOU. I will ask you a few questions and let you ask me anything you doubt about before our session day. On the day itself, we will have an unrushed warm vibe, where I’ll prompt you and guide you as much as necessary, while letting you do you. I don’t have a checklist of poses I want to get, but a passion to capture as many belly laughs, tender and sweet moments as I possibly can.
Do you have a studio?
I don’t have a studio, but who knows, maybe someday in the future.
Where do sessions take place?
Unless it is pouring rain, I love to shoot outside in natural light, even with newborns. I love the beach, sand dunes, forests, and Amsterdam is extremely photogenic too. I also love the warmth of a session in the intimacy and familiarity of your home, so that’s always a beautiful option. We can discuss your preferences together for a session that fits you best.
What should we wear?
There are so many ways to answer this question. Some people may want the pictures to look different than the day-to-day, and in that sense, they may want to wear something different than their usual style. Others may want pictures that most represent them. I am very happy to help you choose what you want to wear, and we can discuss in detail, but as a general rule, I recommend not wearing too many patterns or logos that can distract from the main subject. I love colors that harmoniously go together, earthy tones, flowy materials, chunky knits in winter, barefoot in the sand in summer. Never be afraid to ask something specifically, I’m thrilled to help guide you.

I’m uncomfortable in front of a camera, should I still book a session?
Yes, please do. We all, photographers included, can get nervous around the camera, the idea of posing, the idea that it may be artificial. It is my role and my pleasure to help you relax, simply be present and enjoy this time with your loved ones.
