Hi! I’m so happy you’re here.

I’m Casandra, and I’d be honoured to capture some of your most special moments.

Happiest in the water (reflected in my logo), a dreamer, a romantic, and a believer in the good and in happy endings. I love long conversations with good friends, camping around the world, and I’m most at peace in nature. I never cook if I’m eating alone, but I love making new and special dishes for family and friends. Whenever something really interests me, I frantically research everything about it, and do not get tired of learning new things.

After living in Moldova, the US and France, the Netherlands has been my home for over seven years. I’ve worked in human rights and private law for almost fifteen years, and I enjoyed many parts of that career, but I’ve always, since I can remember loved having a camera in my hands, I loved seeing the world through my lens, showing my loved ones their own beauty. I think life and my own journey led me to  long for more freedom, less rules, more space to just be yourself, to feel more, to breathe more, to just be.

This is also what I aim for in my photography, a time and space for you to just be, so that the moments I capture are an actual fragment of life, one that you want to hang on to: be it the way you and your partner look at each other or tease each other, the way your baby grabs your finger while breastfeeding, the way you envelop your toddler in a layer of love.

So many of us would love to have a certain moment in time forever in their memories, but we let the small worries stop us from doing it: we don’t feel at home in our post-partum bodies, we worry the kids won’t cooperate, we let our insecurities decide the way. I would love to help you tame these worries, and find ease in front of the camera, that’s my mission!

Get in touch, I would love to help you create memories!

Love,

Casandra

PS: I love that I can connect with you in several languages – I’m most home in English, French, Romanian and Italian, I manage quite well in Spanish and Portuguese, and I should be able to make you laugh a bit with my Dutch accent!
